He'd been seeing both Harry and Bond once a week. Bond on Mondays, Harry on Thursdays. Two very different kinds of weekly 'dates;, two very different men, but two very similar sets of feelings for Q- Which said more about him then the men he was spending time with.

Tonight he'd been with Harry, just talking really- And it had been lovely. Harry was always so gentle with him, from his tone to his touch- Sometimes Q was certain he didn't deserve such kindness. Those were the thoughts that haunted his mind as he left the Headmaster's office and headed down the hall.

"Oh. So I'm just supposed to let you go on your merry way? You've broken the rules being out this late, Q. Come along," he said and motioned for the lad to heel and follow him.

"Actually, Sir, I didn't," Q said, pushing just a little, clearly testing his boundaries. Q was a good sub, a natural really, but he was young, and he couldn't help but challenge Bond just a bit. "You see, I have the headmaster's permission to be out. You can ask him, if you like," he added boldly, a faint but definitely smug little smirk on his lips.

"You have a little kink, wanting to tell your last lover I'm going to beat his touch off of you? Fine," he smiled maliciously. "Let's tell him."

"I'm not- He isn't my... We kissed, once, and that was before..."

Q was panicking, and he hated that- But more than anything he didn't want Harry to know what he was letting Bond do to him. He'd carefully danced around the whole situation, and even still he knew Harry was worried.

"Please, let's not disturb him," he finished quietly.

That was the contrition he was expecting. Bond nodded and, in an almost kind gesture, he slipped his arm around Q's waist and walked him down the hall.

He looked a him along the line of his shoulder.

"We'll leave him alone for now," he said. "And if you perform well tonight, I'll see to it he never knows."

And the threat hung in the air. Now that he knew, he could hold it over Q. He could reveal the secret to Harry at any time.

The threat lingered in the air, and Q knew he'd fucked up. He'd have to be exceptionally careful from now on.

"Thank you, Sir," he said quietly.

This was stupid, he should just tell Harry. Right? They were all consenting adults after all, no crime had been committed... But what if Harry decided Bond was dangerous? What if he was fired. Mad as it was, Q liked spending time with Bond. He needed what the man offered. It was more than lust or a kink, he needed it.

Bond led him directly to his room and let Q in. He sealed the door behind them. Only then did he withdraw his arm and move to look at him.

"Have you missed me?" he drawled softly.

"Yes, Sir," Q replied, watching Bond seal the door. Though he grew a bit bold again, and pushed back a bit. "Did you miss me... Sir?"

Bond considered him for a long moment, then reached out and lightly touched his chin.

"More than I should," he admitted coolly.

That made his pulse flutter, and for a moment his shame and guilt was forgotten. Maybe that was okay though- Maybe he shouldn't be ashamed?

"Shoes," he reminded him, slipping his own off as well.

"I hadn't planned on a guest. Apologies for the mess."

There wasn't a single thing out of place in the main rooms. But when he lead Q in the bedroom it was rumpled and unmade.

Q removed his shoes and looked around. Whatever warm feelings he'd had a moment ago faded.

"Looks like you already had company tonight, professor," he frowned.

Bond arched a brow.

"Does that upset you?" he asked.

It did, but Q would never admit it.

"Just disappointed I'll not be getting your best. A man of your age has certain limits. ... Sir."

Bond chuckled softly.

"In a time of magic and medicine, it's not an issue," he replied.

"Strip and lay down."

Q started to undress, but he seemed less eager than usual, as though his mind was wandering in various directions, far from focused.

"Other students?" he asked before he could stop himself. "Are there, um- Other students, I mean. That you do this with. ...Staff?"

He wasn't sure why, but that mattered to him. He knew, on some level, he had no reason to sink any trust into Bond- However, he had. And that trust, the trust needed for these games, was built on the idea that there was some sort of need for him. How could he trust Bond if he was so replaceable in this sort of scenario? It was why things had never worked out with other Doms in his life. If he was disposable, they had no need to take care with him.

Sex was sex, Bond could fuck the whole school for all he cared, but this was... Fragile. Delicate.

Bond looked at him a long moment, then decided Q deserved an answer.

"I don't fuck anyone," he said. "But from time to time...I beat the shit out of staff who need it."

Q was quiet a beat, half dressed and uneasy. Was that better or worse? He wasn't sure.

Worse, he thought, but what did that mean? Did he bring things to a halt? Could he even do that? Part of him needed this, had missed it- Had searched for someone who could give it to him in a way he needed. But again, if Bond had others to do this with, how could he be sure the man would always respect his needs and limits? If he was replaceable... That was always what happened. People took what they wanted, not caring if he never came back- Why would they when they had others lined up to take his place?

"I don't know how I feel about that," Q admitted, his tone soft and gaze focused on the floor- As though he were a million miles away in thought.

He pushed his glasses up his nose after a beat, then glanced at Bond. how would you feel if I told you I had another dom?" he asked, genuinely interested in the professor's thoughts on the matter. "Would you be jealous? Would you have concerns I might stop coming to see you?"

Bond was quiet for a long moment as he searched his feelings.

"Are you looking for commitment, Q?" he asked, moving closer to take hold of Q's narrow shoulders. He studied him and found he was actually quite fond of him. Quite fond.

"You can say it," he said, almost insisting.

"No. I'm... I'm seeking security. Two very different things. I can't give you my submission when I'm convinced you could get it elsewhere and drop me at a moments notice," Q explained. "I think I might need to cease doing... This."

"An articulate argument, and reasonable," he nodded.

"You can always feel free to be honest, Q. And while I won't entertain demands, requests are expected. And I see no reason to deny something simple. I won't have other playmates," he said and gave Q's shoulders a reassuring squeeze. It wasn't exactly a hug, but probably the best Q could hope for.

But Bond was definitely fond of him. He shouldn't be, and he knew it. It could only spell disaster.

Q seemed genuinely surprised by that- And then suspicious. No one ever picked him, especially not men like Bond who could have whoever they pleased whenever they pleased.

"Really?" he asked, a little doubtful.
